「ぐりとぐら」を読んだことありますか？

Do you know the story of 'Guri and Gura'? 'YES!!' . . . the story, which nearly every adult and child must answer like this about, is one of the most beloved and notable books in our country. Even so, I was amazed to know that the book has been translated into dozens of languages as well as English, nowadays. In addition, the first ever translation had already been published in Britain in 1967!! So, I'm just won...dering how much this lovable story was read all over the world. Well . . . without mentioning it, I had an idea. Why don't we find more fun to read the story again? But not in Japanese! We could find some different contents between Japanese and English. One of the key is 'Kasutera', I heard . . . Let's enjoy with Guri and Gura!!!

「ぐりとぐら」のお話しを読んだことはありますか？「もちろん！」 . . . と、日本人の多くは、自信を持ってそう答えるでしょう。 それほど、ぐりとぐらのお話しは、昔から多くの人に愛されてきましたね。 ところが、このお話し、実は英語をはじめ、たくさんの言語に翻訳されているそうです。 しかも、最初に翻訳されたのはイギリスで、すでに1967年に . . なんて古い話し！驚きです！ いったい世界中でどのぐらいの人々に、読まれているのかな？？ と、いう疑問はさておき、私の今日のアイディアは、「『ぐりとぐら』を英語で読もう！」です。

日本語と英語では、内容もちょっぴり違うらしいですよぉ . . そのひとつが「カステラ」 . . うわぁ 一番重要なところなのにね！ 「ぐりとぐら」の楽しみを、英語で一緒に見つけてみませんか？！
